The Stone We Named Ourselves After

Our brand carries this stone in its name. Noor-e-Quamar — Light of the Moon. The moon governs the entire Islamic calendar: every fast begins at its sighting, every Eid is declared by it, every Hajj is timed to its cycle. A stone that carries moonlight inside it felt like the only choice for a tasbih meant to accompany sacred devotion.

Moonstone is a feldspar mineral with a layered internal structure, and those layers create something remarkable — adularescence, an inner glow that shifts and moves when you turn the bead in your fingers, the way moonlight travels across still water. Milky white, translucent, with a soft pearly radiance that seems to breathe. It is a stone you find yourself turning slowly, watching the light respond to your hand.

Across South Asian and Southeast Asian Islamic traditions, moonstone has long appeared in prayer beads and devotional jewellery. There is something deeply fitting about a stone connected to the same celestial body that marks every sacred moment in our faith. Cool to the touch, calming in the palm during long stretches of dhikr — it settles you.

Every batch is independently lab-tested, and each tasbih ships with a certificate of authenticity. The glow you see is geology, pure and honest — layers of orthoclase and albite doing what they have done for millennia.

Sourced from Jaipur. Independently lab-tested. Hand-knotted by a single karigar in Mumbai.
