Noor-e-Quamar — Light of the Moon
Noor-e-Quamar — 'Light of the Moon' — was born from a deep love for the objects that accompany ibadah. The tasbih you hold during dhikr, the mat your forehead touches five times a day — these sacred tools deserve ihtimam. Meticulous care. The finest materials. Hands that understand what they are making and who will use it.
We started with one product: a pure gemstone tasbih, hand-knotted on cotton thread, with separator beads that hold attar. Made in Mumbai by karigars who carry a living tradition. More will come when we can do them right.
Our karigars work in small Mumbai workshops, one artisan per tasbih, start to finish. The same hands that select the stones thread the beads, knot the string, and bind the tassel. Batches run 20 to 40 pieces at a time.
The gemstones come from Jaipur: Moonstone, Aqeeq (carnelian agate), Sulemani Aqeeq (banded agate). Each batch is inspected and independently lab-tested. Thread and tassel are both pure cotton. The separator beads hold attar — rub a drop into your fingers, press it into the separators, and the scent lasts days.
Every completed piece goes through a careful final inspection. Only those meeting our full standard earn the Noor-e-Quamar name.
Natural gemstones, cotton thread, cotton tassel. Every batch independently lab-tested. Certificate of authenticity with every order. Amanah — trust — is a responsibility we carry with pride.
The Prophet ﷺ said Allah loves that when someone does a task, they do it with Itqan. Our karigars understand this deeply. Every tassel is measured to precision. Every bead is hand-selected for clarity and beauty.
Every bead is inspected before stringing. Every knot is tied by hand. Every tassel is bound to last. Your piece is built to become a family heirloom — passed down through generations.
