The Stone

Natural Moonstone. The Quran speaks of the moon as one of Allah's signs, an ayah set in the sky for all of creation to witness. Surah Al-Qamar opens with the splitting of the moon, and throughout the Book the moon appears as a marker of time, beauty, and divine order. Moonstone, with its inner lunar glow, carries a quiet echo of that sign. The glow is called adularescence: light catching between layers of feldspar, a quality present all the way through the stone, formed over roughly fifty million years under pressure deep in the earth. Each bead is checked by hand for clarity before stringing. Tilt toward light and the glow shifts.

The Craft

Each bead is strung on pure cotton thread. Cotton holds its shape over thousands of rotations, gains softness with age, and wears gracefully across years of daily use. The tassel is the same cotton, bound and trimmed by hand.

Fragrance

The separator beads between sections are made from a porous material that absorbs and holds attar. Rub a small drop of oil between your fingertips and press it onto these beads. As your hands warm them during use, the fragrance releases slowly, accompanying your dhikr quietly. The scent fades over days at its own pace. Reapply whenever you wish.

• Store in the pouch when you set it aside
• Wipe beads with a soft, dry cloth
• Keep water and chemicals away from natural stone
• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight
• If the tassel is compressed during transit, comb it gently with any fine-toothed comb to restore its shape
• Colour change over time is natural and expected
